Starbucks raises the largest pride flag in Seattle

In honor of Pride Week, Starbucks raised the largest Pride flag in Seattle history over their headquarters in SoDo this afternoon.

The 800 square foot flag symbolizes Starbucks' support of the LGBT communtity, which the Pride Festival celebrates.

“We are thrilled that Starbucks is showing their support for the LGBT community in this very big, very public way,” says Adam McRoberts, Communications Director for Seattle Pride.

This year is the 40th anniversary of Seattle Pride. Events are held all over the city, businesses participate with new uniforms and special deals, Seattle Center goes all out with PrideFest, and the week culminates with the Pride Parade in downtown Seattle on Sunday at 11 a.m.
