Once your chestnuts are dry and cool, string them on the fishing line using the plastic needle. Cut your leather string into 4 inch pieces. You will need one piece for every chestnut you are using plus one extra piece. Beginning at one end of the garland, tie a piece of leather string between every chestnut.
