Step into the lobby of Hotel Max on any given Thursday and jet back to the 90s with a live DJ spinning mashups, and an offering of music-themed cocktails. Both hotel guests and the public are invited to come party like it's 1999 (well, 1990-1999) in the lobby of Seattle's hip Hotel Max.

This no-cover weekly event, themed around 90s mashups begins today. Named "Superfuzz" in homage to Mudhoney's debut album, guests can lounge in the hotel's art-filled lobby to the tunes of DJs such as DJ Triple9, Bamboo Beats, DJ Marc Sense and Joey Roxville (check out the Superfuzz webpage for an exact schedule).

The local connection doesn't end with the name of the night - the hotel's new restaurant, Miller's Guild, has created some delectable drinks with local craft distillery Sun Liquor.

Priced at $7 a pop, cocktail creations in April will include:

  • The Silver Fox (Sun Liquor vodka, Cocchi Americano, pear and fennel shrub, lemon and grapefruit bitters)
  • The Superfuzz Superfizz (Sun Liquor Hedgetrimmer gin, Boylan's Orange Soda and lime juice)
  • The Rummy Tub (Sun Liquor rum, Cocchi Americano, Amargo Valet, Scrappy's Lemon bitters, Angostura bitters and brandied cherry)

Miller's Guild will feature rotating spirits from other distilleries in future months. Snacks available will include Homemade Pretzel with Beer Cheese, Steak Tartare and more. These Thursday nights add a fun extension to Hotel Max's dedication to music and art.

Craving a night at Hotel Max? This hip boutique hotel boasts 350 paintings and photographs (check out the fifth floor - a homage to Sub Pop Records). During your stay, be sure to swing by the lobby between 5:30 to 6:30 pm for a complimentary craft beer hour featuring local brews.

Preference in pillows? Hotel Max offers a "pillow menu" to fit your personal needs. Looking for a romantic night with someone special? Check out their sizzling "Sweet Surrender" package to spice up your night.
