Banks has workout for Seattle, no contract offer

RENTON, Wash. (AP) - Brian Banks, who was cleared of a rape conviction in May, participated in a workout with the Seattle Seahawks this week but came away without a contract offer.
Banks' agent, Bruce Tollner, confirmed the tryout on Friday. Banks was in a group including wide receivers Braylon Edwards and Antonio Bryant that worked out for coaches Thursday. Bryant was signed to the active roster Thursday night.
Banks, a linebacker, took part in Seattle's minicamp in June and had workouts with Kansas City and San Diego.
Banks served more than five years in prison following his conviction a decade ago on rape and kidnapping charges. The woman later recanted her claim and offered to help Banks get his conviction overturned. He was on probation when a judge threw out the conviction in May.

I would love it if the Seahawks gave this guy a shot. Â Something tells me this kid will work hard to prove himself - he's worth a shot.
Working without a contract.
How can that be.
The other players better not find out or heads will roll. <sarcasm>
Yeah, she offered to help by not wanting to give the money back.
Â
How come the women get away with this sort of thing? She should be in jail for at least as long as Mr. Banks was there.Â
Doesn't say if he did a good job or not, Someone this age with no injuries. Should be a good prospect.
