SEATTLE -- Bonney Lake's J. Michael Kelly won the 2014 Albert Lee Appliance Seafair Cup on Sunday, but not without some controversy.

Kelly was clearly the first driver to cross the finish line in the final, but replays showed that Kelly and two other drivers possibly jumped the start.

After 20 minutes, officials finally ruled the start was clean, and Kelly was officially a first time winner at Seafair.

"I'm just so grateful," said Kelly. "I have my family here and they got to witness me winning in Seattle. Whether I get to do it down the road again or not, at least I can say I did it one time. That's all that matters."

In the Graham Trucking Seafair Cup final, Terry Rinker raced to his 26th career victory. He also clinched his 4th straight national championship, becoming the first F1 driver to ever achieve that feat.
