Leach says he is returning to Washington State

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) - Washington State's Mike Leach says he intends to be coaching the Cougars again next season.
Leach's name has come up in connection with some coaching vacancies across the country, particularly at North Carolina State.
But Leach said Wednesday that he's happy in Pullman and not looking for another job. He says he wants to turn the Washington State program around.
The Cougars finished 3-9 in Leach's first season, but they beat archrival Washington in the Apple Cup. It was the first losing record of Leach's career.
He says the team needs to get bigger and stronger next season, and will be particularly looking to recruit more offensive and defensive linemen.

Face it Cougs, the program had gotten soft and weak, almost as bad as the UW under Ty. Â Leach doesn't care for those players who feel entitled and will pad their stats at the team's cost, so there is bound to be a shakeup. Â But he gave you an Apple Cup victory in his first season, and the team almost came back against UCLA--it's all go from here out.
Â
I don't hate the Cougs, but I do hate our state being the laughing stock of the nation--a stronger Wazzu is good for the Pac-12 and good for the state.
Good luck recruiting.
I honestly don't think any serious player is considering the Cougs after the last 4 years.

Â
You have ZERO idea what you're talking about. Recruiting has been going great and continues to improve. On Monday they broke ground on a new $80 million Football Operations Building on the west end of the stadium. Prez. Floyd, AD Moos and Coach Leach are doing a fantastic job.
Darn. He would have made a great resident of North Carolina. We could hope that he actually gets fired!
If you're a Hussy, you should hope he get's fired, but he won't.
Why is the question even being asked? Sounds like the media is the only one stirring this pot.
Will he become known as the Bobby Knight of college football? Â Guess winning trumps coaching style but right now he's got neither.
You lose !  Wilson admitted he made everything up. Leach's "coaching style" is great, unless you choose to read a bunch of BS media trash. Leach is tough and the slackers are leaving. The program will get stronger and stronger.
Looking forward to it, onward and upward. Go Cougs
