SEATTLE -- The Seattle Mariners will begin their 2014 regular season on Monday, March 31 on the road against the division-rival Los Angeles Angels, according to the tentative schedule announced Tuesday. The home opener is scheduled for Tuesday, April 8, also against the Angels. The Mariners play 22 of the first 25 games against American League West opponents.

Interleague play will feature the National League East, with three home games against the New York Mets (July 21-23), two games against the Atlanta Braves (August 5-6), and three against the Washington Nationals (August 29-31). The Mariners road trips to NL parks include Miami, Atlanta and Philadelphia. And just like this season, the M's will play a four game series against San Diego, splitting 2 games in each stadium.

The New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox make trips to Safeco Field in June with three games each (Yankees, June 10-12, Red Sox, June 23-25).

The schedule and start times will not be finalized until January 2014.
