SEATTLE -- As we count the days until Super Bowl XLVIII, Seattle Center officials are inviting all Seahawks fans to come to the center's Fisher Pavilion Wednesday morning for a big rally.

The event is scheduled to begin at 11:15 a.m. and last until 12:30 p.m.

Officials say Seattle Mayor Ed Murray, members of the Sea Gals, Blue Thunder, Blitz and Seahawks alumni will appear in addition to a live performance by the top 40 cover band, Curb Appeal.

Seahawks Alumni to be in attendance include Paul Johns, Norm Johnson, Robbie Tobeck, and Alex Bannister.

The team says immediately following the rally, the Space Needle is calling all Seahawks fans to participate in the "From the Needle to New Jersey" flag signing and relay.

The 25-foot by 35-foot '12' flag that has been flown atop the Space Needle for every playoff run that the team has made in recent years will be put on display for all Seahawks fans to sign their well wishes to the team from 12:30-3:30 p.m.

That flag will be sent off to New Jersey and delivered in time to present to the Seahawks for the Super Bowl. (Don't worry -- they'll put a replacement '12' flag back atop the Needle.) You can follow the flag's journey at #NeedletoNJ.

Seattle Center will provide free monorail rides from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for all fans dressed in Seahawks apparel.
