Seattle infant sees perfect games in first 2 trips to Safeco Field
SEATTLE -- Some long-time season ticket holders in baseball can go their entire lives and never see a no-hitter, much less a perfect game.

For 13-month-old Bode Dockal, he's 2-for-2: Two games in attendance at Safeco Field. Two perfect games.

His parents told Ian Kay of MLB.com that they are Chicago transplants and were eager to bring Bode to his first baseball game when their favorite White Sox came to town on April 21. Lo and behold, that would be the game Sox pitcher Philip Humber would toss a perfect game.

"It’s one of those things that, I don’t think he could understand how important it was for me to be with him until he has a son of his own," Bode's father Paul Dockal told MLB.com. "The first thing I said to my wife was, 'This is the best day I’ve ever had with my son.' "

So imagine the Dockals' surprise when family friends came from out of town last week and they decided to go to the matinee game against the Tampa Bay Rays with Bode in tow and Felix Hernandez on the mound.

Twenty-seven Rays batters later, Felix had his name etched in history with a perfect game of his own, and Bode Dockal has something to tell his kids about that no other person could likely ever match: Seeing a perfect game at each of the first two games you've ever been to.

Hopefully, Bode's dad explains to him that, yes, sometimes both teams get to have a runner on base.
