SEATTLE (AP) - The Seattle Mariners will close out their 2009 spring training schedule with a pair of games in Nevada prior to flying to Minnesota to open the American League season.
The Mariners announced today they will travel to Las Vegas to wind up their 33rd spring training with two games against the Colorado Rockies Friday, April 3, at 7:05 p.m. and Saturday, April 4, at 1:05 p.m.
The Mariners are scheduled to play a club-record 39 games this spring, 38 against major league teams and one World Baseball Classic exhibition.
The Mariners will open their AL season at Minnesota Monday, April 6, and face the Los Angeles Angels in their home opener Tuesday, April 14, at Safeco Field.
