SEATTLE (AP) - Chris Eylander made two saves in the penalty kick shootout, and Zach Scott converted the game-winner in the seventh round of penalty kicks, giving the Seattle Sounders a 1-0 victory tonight over the Kansas City Wizards in a Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup quarterfinal game in Seattle.

The Sounders won the shootout, 6-5.

The Wizards of Major League Soccer and the Sounders of the second-tier United Soccer Leagues First Division battled though 120 minutes of scoreless soccer - 90 minutes of regulation and 30 minutes of overtime.

The teams were tied at 4-4 through the first five rounds of penalty kicks. They remained tied after the sixth round, then Eylander dove to his right to save Tyson Wall's try in the seventh round.

Scott came up to the penalty spot and drove his shot to the back left corner past Wizards goalkeeper Eric Kronberg.
