KIRKLAND, Wash. (AP) - Justin Forsett and the Seahawks have agreed to a multiyear contract. The running back from the University of California is the first rookie draft choice to sign with Seattle.

The 5-foot-8 Forsett, the first of Seattle's two seventh-round picks, impressed his new team in spring minicamps with his speed and his versatility on offense and on special teams.

The Seahawks have six other draft choices to sign before training camp begins July 25.

Seattle on Wednesday also released cornerback Donovan Alexander, an undrafted rookie free agent.
