Can you get a ticket for not turning your high beams off and there is a car coming?

This is a good question to ask because of people like myself. That’s because I am pretty night blind and bright lights can make me completely blind behind the wheel in the dark. So, yes, you can get pulled over. Here’s the rule. You need to dim your headlights within 500 feet of you and the car traveling towards you. If you are coming up behind someone in your car, the high beams need to be turned off 300 feet before you approach the person traveling in front of you in the same direction. A ticket for not following the rule could run $124.
