For three weekends starting August 8th, you will not be able to drive south on I-405 between S.E. 8th and I-90. Below are the exact dates and times of the closures:

• 11 p.m., Friday, August 8 to 5 a.m., Monday Aug. 11
• 11 p.m., Friday, August 15 to 5 a.m., Monday, Aug. 18
• 11 p.m., Friday, August 22 to 5 a.m., Monday, Aug. 25

Help! I am getting married in Bothell on August 16th and many of my guests are driving from Maple Valley. What should I tell them to do?

Answer:
Congratulations on your marriage! Thanks for writing in Erinn. Don't panic, great news... the closure will not affect your guests getting to the wedding. They can still drive north on I-405. I'd suggest printing out directions to get home from the reception though. Maybe leave them at the sign in table for guests to grab as they leave. Here is my suggestion for the best way to avoid the mess and get them home to Maple Valley:

Erinn's Wedding Directions -
Take I-405 South
Exit at NE 85th/Redmond Way
Go South on East Lake Sammamish Parkway 
Continue onto Front Street
(this takes you right to SR18 by Maple Valley)
