Bicycle and pedestrian routes
All bike routes on East Marginal Way S. and Alaskan Way S. will remain open during the nine-day closure of the viaduct, says the Washington State Department of Transportation.
During the closure, WSDOT will:
• Prohibit bicycle and pedestrian detours.
• Remove debris and other potential hazards, including draining large puddles.
• Add road signs alerting motorists to watch for bicycles in the road.
Bicyclists are urged to wear bright and reflective colors to ensure visibility to others.
