Kristyn Caddell is a general assignment reporter for KOMO 4 News.
Her career has taken her from one end of the country to the other. Most recently, Caddell worked as a general assignment reporter for WPTV in West Palm Beach, FL. She not only reported locally, but traveled the sunshine state covering everything from fires to tropical storms and heated political races. She worked to get numerous exclusive interviews including family members involved with polo mogul John Goodman's DUI Manslaughter Case, Haiti earthquake survivors from Lynn University and the Tyler Hadley murder investigation. She broke numerous high profile stories including the Indian River Jail escape.
Before returing to her home state of Florida Caddell worked for WATE in Knoxville,TN. It is there she was recognized for her year long investigation into a dog grooming facility. Her stories prompted a call for change in the local laws and criminal charges were eventually pressed. She was also part of a team that won an Edward R. Murrow award for breaking news coverage of the Central High School Shooting.
Caddell has also worked at stations in Waco,Texas and Chico,California. She got her start in television as an intern for NBC News in New York and later worked as a production assistant at WPTV while in college.
Caddell is from Tampa,Florida and graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University where she played on the soccer team and wrote for the University’s newspaper. She spent time on the golf course as well reporting stats for the LPGA. Caddell completed her first marathon in 2010.
