What's The Longest Dry Streak During The Rainy Season?

SEATTLE - We've had quite a few dry days here after our record-setting October rainfall (8.95 inches was tied with 1947 for the wettest October on record). Now, you might be wondering if a dry streak record is in shouting distance as well?

We still have a ways to go. The longest dry-streak during the wet season (November to February) is 21 days between Dec. 8-28 in 1985. Second place is 15 days, which was set Jan. 16-30 in 1963.

You might remember last year's dry streak in November that stretched 14 days from Nov. 20 to Dec. 4. That was good for third place all time. We'll see if we get there this winter. We seem to be good at breaking records so far...
