What's The Longest Dry Streak During The Rainy Season?

By Steve Pool

SEATTLE - We finished November on an 11-day dry streak, which continued into early December during what should be our wettest time of the year.

You're probably wondering if we've set some sort of record. Not yet, but we were getting there.

The longest dry-streak during the wet season (November to February) is 21 days between Dec. 8-28 in 1985. Second place is 15 days, which was set Jan. 16-30 in 1963.

The dry streak that stretched into early December before finally ending on Wednesday, Dec. 4 was 14 days -- good enough for sole position of third place on the list.
