Back in early June as we were amidst our expansive "June Gloom" (or "Juneuary" as many were calling it), I suggested a culprit might have been that the yellow hydro boat was sure winning an awful lot during the Seattle Mariners' 6th inning digital hydro races at Safeco Field.
I've found over the years that the yellow hydro boat has always been the "Washington Generals" of hydro racing, so when it was on a huge winning streak at the start of the season (15 wins -- more than the other boats combined), I figured that must be why the weather was so out of whack -- something was amiss in the world order!
Well, our family finally made it back to an M's game this weekend, and lo and behold look what has happened to our juggernaut yellow boat since then!:
It's only won three races?!?! It's now back in distant third place in the standings where many purists probably feel it belongs. And did you notice, our summer weather rebounded quite well as a result?
(Probably :) )
