Ichiro -- or at least his bobble-headed namesake -- was probably feeling a lot warmer this afternoon after 5" of snow that fell Tuesday night began to melt Wednesday morning. Here is time lapse video from Dr. Dale Ireland in Silverdale.
Note how the snow melts away from Ichiro first. Looks like the bobblehead absorbed heat first and radiated it out a bit, melting the snow around it faster.
Also note how toward the end you can see the water sitting at the base of the snow pile. Yes, gravity still works:
