Lightning brightens the stormy skies over Hansville

If you thought you heard thunder early Tuesday morning, you were probably right.
A few thunderstorms were running around Western Washington in the wake of the latest storm to blow through. In fact, a witness reports a Monday evening thunderstorm in Port Angeles forced a delay in a soccer game at Civic Field for a while.
But over near Hansville, the lightning waited until the dead of night. Greg Johnson's web camera at skunkbayweather.com captured a few lightning strikes around 3:30 a.m., and it must have been pretty loud.
"Here are a couple of images and a time lapse of what scared the hell out of the dog and put me on the ceiling with one thunder strike," he wrote in sending me the video.
Here is slowed-down time lapse video of what his camera captured:

I love thunder and lightning shows but most of the time they happen too far away from me to see it. I enjoyed seeing the strikes both on here and on Skunk Bay weather.Â
