..WASHINGTON PRECIPITATION SUMMARY FOR THE MONTH OF JUNE...

JUNE PRECIPITATION RESULTS WERE MIXED WITH MUCH BELOW NORMAL TO MUCH

ABOVE NORMAL AMOUNTS ACROSS THE STATE.  FOR WESTERN WASHINGTON...THE

PERCENTAGE OF NORMAL PRECIPITATION RANGED FROM 85 FOR THE COAST AND

CASCADES TO 133 FOR THE NORTHWEST INTERIOR.  THE GREATEST AMOUNT OF

PRECIPITATION RECORDED AT CLIMATE STATIONS FOR THE FOOTHILLS AND

MOUNTAINS...COASTS...AND INTERIOR LOWLANDS WAS 9.12 INCHES AT SOUTH

FORK TOLT DAM...4.68 INCHES AT NASELLE...AND 4.82 INCHES NEAR

CATHLAMET RESPECTIVELY.

FOR EASTERN WASHINGTON...THE PERCENTAGE OF NORMAL PRECIPITATION RANGED

FROM 76 FOR THE EAST SLOPES OF THE CASCADES TO 121 FOR THE OKANOGAN

REGION.  THE GREATEST AMOUNT OF PRECIPITATION RECORDED AT CLIMATE

STATIONS FOR THE MOUNTAINS AND LOWLANDS WAS 1.34 INCHES AT MT. ADAMS

AND 2.45 INCHES AT NORTHPORT RESPECTIVELY.

THE OUTLOOK FOR JULY AND BEYOND...THE OUTLOOK FOR THE NEXT TWO WEEKS

IS FOR NEAR NORMAL PRECIPITATION. FOR THE ENTIRE MONTH OF JULY THE

OUTLOOK IS FOR A GREATER CHANCE OF BELOW NORMAL PRECIPITATION.  THE

OUTLOOK FOR THE PERIOD JULY THROUGH SEPTEMBER IS FOR SLIGHTLY GREATER

CHANCE OF BELOW NORMAL PRECIPITATION FOR THE SOUTHEAST HALF OF THE

STATE AND FOR EQUAL CHANCES OF NORMAL...ABOVE NORMAL...OR BELOW NORMAL

PRECIPITATION FOR THE REST OF THE STATE.

THE TABLE BELOW GIVES PRECIPITATION FIGURES AS A PERCENT OF NORMAL FOR

REGIONS OF WASHINGTON.  THE CURRENT WATER YEAR BEGAN 1 OCTOBER 2007

AND ENDS 30 SEPTEMBER 2008.
