How often does it freeze around here?
Just a quick blog today as I am home taking care of the little one. But it sure was chilly in the house this morning, which brought this topic to mind...

Seattle averages 60 days a year when the temperature drops below 32 degrees at some point, but only four days a year when it stays under freezing all day. So far this October, the coldest we've made it in the city is 38, but freezing temps will be here before too long.

Our first average frost is November 11th, while the last one is March 24th.  You can find more statistics for yourself at the Seattle office of the National Weather Service. Just click on the tab marked "NOWData."
