UW study says climate warming is affecting Cascade snowpack

A new University of Washington study released Tuesday suggests that climate warming will have an impact on the Cascade snowpack, no matter how you slice it.
The study suggests that even a 1 degree Celsius warming of average temperatures around the Puget Sound region would translate to a 20 percent reduction in average snowpack in the Cascade Mountains.
