Eastern Wash. dust storm seen from space

NASA on Monday released a satellite image of the crippling dust storm that forced Interstate 90 and dozens of other roads to be shut down on Sunday.

The image, captured by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer on NASA's Terra satellite, was taken shortly after noon.

You can download a high-resolution version of the image from NASA's site.

At least 11 people were injured in crashes during the storm, and I-90 was shut down for most of the day. At the beginning of the storm, many motorists were trapped in their vehicles, but most were later cleared.
