Here's the bullet the South Sound dodged

An anticipated windstorm Saturday night that was feared to strike most of southern and parts of northern Washington (and maybe even sections of the Puget Sound area) took a last minute turn to the south overnight, sparing parts of the area, but certainly not others.

Instead, the storm focused its wrath on the northern Oregon and southern Washington coast, blasting the area with gusts of 70-85 mph -- hurricane force!
