Cool, unstable air that moved in after Friday morning's storm bought some active weather for the afternoon.

In addition to some heavy rain and thunderstorm, we had some pea to marble sized hail, especially in southwestern Snohomish County.

And it made for some rapidly cooling temperatures. Everett dropped to 47° when the storm hit, while it was 58° just down the road in North Seattle and 54° in Skagit County.

Bill Simms had his camera rolling when the hail cell reached the Edmonds area -- enough to coat the ground a bit!

Over in Hansville at Skunkbayweather.com, Greg Johnson had a front row seat to the show and compiled some time lapse video of the event:

We don't get very many thunderstorms in the Pacific Northwest, but March and April are prime time for what few we get as warm systems start to mix with some chilly air masses lingering from winter.
