It'll take a big ridge of high pressure to get there, however.
So far this year, Seattle has recorded 95 days that are considered "sunny" -- as in less than 30 percent cloud cover for the day. That's well above our average 58 sunny days a year.
The record sunniest year was 109 days set in 1898 (that was at the downtown Federal Building). It'll be a stretch to get there, as we only average 3 sunny days in December, but you never know -- we've had some sunny winter stretches before.
