Not quite. While each summer month has been a bit above average for monthly temperatures, 1967 was probably a year many wish they had air conditioning. The average high in August was 83.7 degrees -- the hottest month ever recorded in Seattle. To compare, this August we were at 76.7 degrees.
On the flip side, this year marks the 10-year anniversary of the summer that wasn't, when we went four straight weeks of below-normal temperatures in July of 1993, leaving us with a paltry average high of 68.6 for both July -- and August to boot.
I wonder what 2013 has in store for us?
