Which is Wetter: Seattle or Dublin, Ireland?
SEATTLE - In honor of St. Patrick's Day, we thought we'd take a look at how two well-known rainy cities really stack up against each other.

When it comes to the amount of annual rain, Seattle "reigns" supreme. We average about 37 inches of rain per year, as opposed to about 29 inches per year for Dublin. However, just like how rainfall varies widely in short distances here, other nearby areas of Ireland average 80-100 inches of rain per year.

However, a Dublinite has a much better chance of getting wet on any given day than a Seattleite. While Seattle gets about 150 soggy days a year, Dublin gets rain, on average, on 271 days a year.

But while Seattle gets the bulk our rain in the fall and winter months, Dublin gets a steady diet of about 3 inches per month throughout the year.
