You will be cheating yourself out of a unique experience if you merely
drive by Vikki and Rick Johnson’s place on Marine View drive.

Amazingly enough, what you see from the street is only half of
what’s in store for those who follow the signs to the North Pole and
enter a front yard that looks like a cross between Christmas, Fourth
of July and Disneyland.

The exploding volcano is also a 4th of July decoration-the Johnson’s
decorate on that day and other holidays too.

Walk up to the daylight basement windows. What a sight! If Vikki is home you will most certainly be invited in to view a Christmas village worthy of being displayed in a museum. Detail is the order of the day.

Americana is the theme. Doughnut shops, diners and Ford dealers, skiers,
skaters -- even an amusement park, the little town seems every
bit as real as the world outside.

Vikki keeps the village up all year. She changes the dioramas to fit
the season.

Vikki and three friends spent five hours a day for two weeks changing
the village over to Christmas. If a visit to Vikki’s doesn’t get you in the Holiday spirit I don’t know what will.
