Jason Mertl knows what he likes when he sees it. Years ago Jason was visiting a commercial lighting display, making mental notes about what he saw. After some trips to the hardware store and lumber yard-with the help of friends and family, he was able to make his vision a reality.
Jason uses plywood sheets painted black as back drops for strings of mini lights. The black back rounds absorb reflected light so every individual bulb stands out. Off the shelf AC flasher units coupled with the use of different colored bulbs create the illusion that some lights are actually moving. |
