This July goes down as the 2nd hottest on record at Sea-Tac Airport if you count by average temperature (high+low divided by 2) or 4th hottest if you just want to count high temperatures.

Good Morning -- welcome to Friday and welcome to a new month!
On this first day of August -- we'll deal with a mix of sun & clouds. The additional cloud cover comes from an unstable air combining with a weak upper-level system that will likely trigger some thunderstorms in the Olympics and Cascades. A Fire Weather Watch is in effect for the North Cascades and portions of Central/Eastern Washington for potential lightning and outflow winds.
We're going for highs in the low to mid once again today -- and that's what we're forecasting for the weekend, too. Our onshore flow returns and that might even bring a brief dose of morning clouds Saturday and Sunday, but temperatures are still expected to reach the low 80s.
We're going to hold onto the 80s next week amid sunny skies.
Enjoy Seafair weekend!
