Damage from the Big Lynnwood Fire

I work the night shift and when I got up at 6pm I had 3 messages from friends that there was a fire nearby. I turned on KOMO 4 News and found it was very close- 3 blocks away. I heard it was a very big apartment building that had burned fast and furious. I heard as many as 80-100 were now homeless and the Red Cross was helping them find shelter for the night. I took my camera and decided to investigate for myself. These are the pictures I took of the aftermath of the fire. There was still lots of smoke but these pictures show the good work the fire department was doing in keeping the fire from spreading to other buildings and trees. These pictures also show what can happen when a building does not have a sprinkler system in it.
