news story idea "day in the life of the artist"
We are a group of creative graduate students from The Seattle Art Institute, majoring
in film making. Since earlier this year we have been filming a documentary project
for community education, featuring 4 known local glass artist. The story, (idea) was written seven years ago by also a local visual artist. The last segment of this feature will feature all four of the artist to collaborate making one glass sculpture applying each artist creative style and vision. This idea has never been done before and we want it to be a significant collaborative effort. This segment will be performed at The Glass Blowing Studio on 5th avenue in Seattle, October 11. and as a result of the finished glass sculpture, it will be auctioned off in late October and the proceeds raised will go to the Pratt Fine Arts School, (school of glass art) scholarship program, giving back to the community. This will make a great ending to valued film project, many hours of logged time by our creative team. This documentary with be distributed to educational programing, film festivals and other venues.
Your consideration as a news story idea would be appreciated
