Just to make a comment... I also have now seen three times, the moon rise in the west, in November 2011. makes no sense, cuz its not supose to do that. Beautiful orange ( harvest moon).

West Seattle is a place. Sounds like they were looking at the moonrise while they were in West Seattle, and it would have been to their east.

The moon does not rise from the west, it sets in the west.
