Local Photographer Raising Money

After learning that my mom had breast cancer, my wife and I decided that we really wanted to participate in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day For the Cure. We chose a calendar project since it would not only be able to use our skills to support this great cause, but also because we thought the idea of inspirational stories of hope, strength and family could be a strong message for those who are fighting such a difficult battle.

What started out as a one time goal, has turned in to a life long project. We plan to continue working on this for as many years as possible. We are continuing to look for more calendar girls for our next printing, so if you or someone you know is interested in helping our cause, please let us know.

All proceeds from this calendar will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, and sending us to do the 3-Day walk in Seattle.

Come by the Lyons' Den Coffee Shop in Bothell on Saturday, December 11th between 4-7pm to purchase a calendar in person ($25). You can also follow our progress at http://dailyinspiredproject.wordpress.com. Help us fight this terrible disease!

I am inexperienced with your type of fundraiser-what must I do to obtain your calendar? My sister-in-law beat three different kinds of cancer, including breast cancer twice. I might get two.

All year Hubby & I go to booksignings, buy an extra book and have author inscribe "Thanks for fighting cancer" above signature, and silent-auction them off at the 24-Hour Relay for Life, which BEGAN in Tacoma, btw.
