HWY 101

Flooding on Highway 101/ Houses & roads

Sunday December 12, 2010. Highway 101 about 10 miles North of Shelton, in Mason County. Friend of mine took me out to see how bad the flooding was. I was amazed at the houses that people were still living in even though they there was eminent danger of the house flooding completely. I didn't understand how bad it was until we went down and looked. There were several roads blocked off because they were flooded. At the local Walmart in Shelton, there were plows ready to go to help remove the debris that would soon be covering the roads. We drove further on down the road to the outlet and the water seemed to me to be in. I was informed it was low tide. I feel sorry for those people around there when the tide comes in. The water level will be over the road.
