dazed Meadowlark

Meadowlark hits window

Heard something hit the window. Went out and found this dazed meadowlark. Has been about 1/2 hour and he/she is still sitting there. Guess it is best to leave it alone and just make sure a cat doesnt get an easy dinner.

Your feathered friend is a Varied Thursh. Often times then get the head unscrabbled. Best thing is to leave them alone and protect from cats. I have placed dazed birds in an open shoe box- just to protect them from the chll but they can fly off when

That's a Varied Thrush, not meadow lark. Glad you are watching they snap out of it most times. The main thing is protect from cats.
