Unemployment Woes

I am sure you have many writing in about their Unemployment woes, I have been unemployed since Octobaer 2010. I am sure there are many that have been unemployed for longer than 3 months. I heard some have been out of work for over 1 year. I have 25 years experience in my field of Hospitality , Restaurants to be exact. I have applied at over 200 locations since October. It sure is a frudtating issue when one spends the time making sure his/her resume is uptodate and looks professional and takes the time to do all the steps required for a given opportunity and still companies do not call and let you know either way if your qualified or if they already hired for the position. I do know that there are over 4,000 jobs in Washington State alone as an overall for all businesses. Its an employers market right now, meaning that the applicants must somehow make sure they stand out in a crowd of people, just by making sure their Cover Letter grabs the businesses attention and their Resume is a polished upto date Resume, Crisp and clean. I know the news states where we stand for Unemployment percentage for the state around 9%? approx. but what about those who are looking, what are their struggles? I personaly have had at 1 company been to 2 different locations have met and spoke with 5 different people for interviews and have taken 2 written tests. This was over a 1 month period and still I was told " We will call you in 10 days". I've showm up to every interview looking professional, clean and crisp looking. I have the qualifixations desired. I've had several companies tell me to my face " We will definetly call you back for a second interview, don;t call us we WILL call you" and have yet to hear back from them. So in closing I am not sure if I have a worthwhile story or am just venting and hopes that someone will listen. We all would like to be able to afford the roof over our heads , put food on the table and provide for our families at any level of this game of LIFE we are all playing. WIsh me luck over the next few months to find an awesome job with a company that will followup with their words.. Thanks for listening

No wonder your not getting any calls, as a hiring manager you must have a half dozen mis-spells just in this letter. Something to think about.
