The original forecast of snow showers mixed with rain quickly changed overnight to continuous snow throughout the day, and these kids took advantage of it. Katie and Jillian Wallace set out to create a snow man, but not your average snowman. They wanted it to be unique. So armed with bright felt markers and tons of imagination, these two elementary kids on mid-winter vacation went to work. Jillian had the idea of making the snowman have a mohawk. At first her sister Katie wasn't sold on the idea. But after some creative touches, both of them could see right away that they were creating something pretty cool! Dubbing it the "Snow-Hawk" they patted and chiseled away at the snow sculpture, added some artistic nuances, and a little color. Voila! A true winter weather masterpiece was born.
