See off Vladimir Sorokin as he continues his cycling trip to Alaska
After resting for a few days in Seattle and meeting local Russian and Bulgarian friends Vladimir is about to continue his journey towards Alaska. Get your bicycles out and join him for a few miles as he leaves Greater Seattle. Vladimir carries 40 kg of gear and travels with a leisurely pace of 8-9 mph, everybody can keep up with him.
Join him for the whole day or just one mile - that's up to you. If you don't cycle, just come by to wish him well on his epic journey.

Vladimir Sorokin is a world traveler and documentarian, who has traveled on his bike across 64 countries in the past 7 years while also filming his experiences.
This year, Vladimir is engaged on an epic cross-country journey on his bicycle to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the end of World War II. His adventure began in October 2010, his route taking him through the following cities: Washington D.C.; Miami, Florida; Las Vegas, Nevada; Los Angeles, California; Seattle, Washington; Vancouver, B.C.; and will conclude in Anchorage, Alaska.
Vladimir noted: "The route is approximately 14,000 kilometers. I plan on completing it in about nine months. My estimated time arrival to Anchorage is May 30th, 2011. I asked to post an invitation to join me, but no one has yet replied to the invitation."
