Mr. Roberts was my inspiration to do something with my life. He taught me my first computer language, and told me I would accomplish nothing. Thank you Mr. Roberts for the kick in the pants I needed and all the great work you have done for others.

It seems like a miracle to us who have seen the wonderful physical changes and the general attitude of the veterans and volunteers at the VA golf course since the arrival of Pepper to the scenes. Thanks Pepper!!!!

A touching tribute to our veterans. I never know how to honor them. Their losses are sometimes so great, I become immobilized emotionally. Harold Pepper has found a way that is worthy and I applaud his humanitarianism. This is an act of love.

In 1967 I spent several months in Great Lakes naval hospital in Illinois. I had malaria but most of the other patients on our ward were amputees. It was there I learned the true meaning of the word hero. Now I have another definition.

I use this Gold Course Regualarly and I love how they have all the adapted wheelchairs and instuctors for us who are disabled vets

What a wonderful person. We need to acknowledge our veterans for without them we would not be free. My ancestors served - Dad WWII, Grandfather WWI, 2X Great Grandfather Civil War, 3X great in War of 1812 & one in 1 in the Rev. I admire them all.

Mr. Roberts taight me geometry in high school and I thought then that he was one of the kindest, greatest and most interesting people I'd ever met. I'm very proud of what he achieved at the American Lake VA golf course - for all our veterans! Thanks

I have been a volunteer for only a month and that month has been the most amazing time of my life as a golf professional. It is obvious watching Pepper fight off tears as he speaks of the volunteers and veterans that this man has a great heart.
