My husband & I were stranded due to road washouts at our cabin on Hood Canal near Tahuya. Only way out was a 6 hour hike to the other side of Tahuya. We climbed over and under fallen trees, walked through water, mud, silt and through rain and wind. Encountered over 30 road washouts and devastating homes/vehicles destroyed by the snow melt and rain. We ended up leaving our vehicle behind - walking out with only bottled water. Let me know if you want more pictures. The first is someones home on NorthShore Road, The second is the first road washout near our cabin.
