I was in Anacortes on May 19 and pulled into the parking lot of the Anacortes Marina off T St. to enjoy the view as I ate lunch. The sun was warm and the view was grand. Anacortes is a sea-faring town - both pleasure and business. As my eyes drank in the back drop of Mt.Baker, the Cascades and Guemes Island, I couldn't resist taking a snapshot of the tanker, tug and sailboats. It just struck me as the epitome of Anacortes: beauty, commercial enterprise and leisure all wrapped together in one lovely package.
