A fast-moving brush fire scorched several acres in Mason County on Wednesday, causing fire districts from several Mason County areas to respond.
The fire, reported in at approximately 2PM Wednesday afternoon, burned several acres in the Eels Hill Road area a few miles from the Mason County Transfer Station. At last report, the fire is still scorching more land, and the plume can be seen for miles. In Potlatch and in Union, the sky is an inky orange due to the haze.
No word on what started the fire.
