I was out taking photos of the stars and the beach, when the northern light appeared over Lopez Island and Anacortes (Skyline.) If I had not already been taking photos I would have missed this shot. What a wonderful rare treat!

I saw the same thing near NAS Whidbey. Didn't last long. Thought cousin Eddie emptied his RV again :)
