While working on my Adopt-A-Highway section on Whidbey Island, a 4-point buck wandered really close to me. Maybe he liked that I was helping to rid the island of litter and just wanted to say hello, but he got within 20 feet of me. He was so quiet that I didn’t even notice him till he was really close. He looked at me for a while, but then just trotted along the side of the highway. I was afraid he was going to go on the road, but apparently he was just following the path and eventually turned the corner away from the busy roadway.

It should say "oversees" not "overseas", as this happened in America. Though, I did have to take a ferry to get there, so it's sort of overseas...but not really.
