Monika: Compassionate Community Leader

I nominate Monika Joy Kinsman to become the next Brotherton Community Champion. Throughout high school, Monika held down 3 jobs and sometimes more just to make it on her own. She has always been a leader and one of the kindest people I know. She is motivated by the love that shines in her heart for human compassion. There is no challenge too big for this girl and she is recognized in the Seattle community for volunteering her time to help others change their lives through an ontological education center. She has two masters degrees and is founder/ceo and manager at Thrive in Seattle.

Her passion is helping others achieve a healthy lifestyle through raw foods and a holistic way of being. She started a non-profit organization called the Raw Network of Washington which is committed to educating people about raw foods. She also started a wellness retreat center that is now going out of business because of funds. Monika’s kindness and love touches everyone she comes into contact with, her passion towards helping others is undeniable and she will put aside whatever she is dealing with to help someone that needs her. She has volunteered at the crisis clinic and also worked for the seattle police department as the Victim Support Team Volunteer Supervisor. She is dedicated to helping others live to their full potential and leading an extraordinary life.

Monika is a one of a kind, very unique person that holds the true value of love, peace, joy, compassion and kindness in her heart. She has made a profound difference in the Seattle community as well as the lives of everyone within her path. Thank you Monika for all that you have done and the support that you have given throughout the years.

Last but not least, Monika takes whatever circumstances cross her path and finds the blessing. Her bright light is dimmed by nothing. She turns financial hardship into a community building experience and flood into an upgrade and remodel. ...

Third, Monika took the time to talk with me, while she was taking care of everyone else. She is welcoming, light hearted, generous, full of life and ideas and takes full responsibility to make it happen all with a genuine smile on her face. ...

I met Monika at an introduction to the Forum at Landmark Education. When I heard her story and how Thrive got started, I was compelled to go visit her restaurant. I was thrilled. It was a unique experience, for many reasons ...

I know this won't be popular but most people must not know the real Monika. I'm not here to bash but have an inside look at the person who pays minimum wage, tricks people to working for free and promises raw cooking certification that has no merit
