Hello! I am a mother of a special needs boy and also a Veteran. I have come across so many challenges in the last 6 years, I don't even know where to begin. I turned to Disability Advocates for Cystic Fibrosis (DAFCF) because I needed so much help with my own disability case from my time served on Active Duty and also for my son. I applied for SSI for my son, was approved imediately, then turned away because I "made too much money." A whopping $20 a month over the household income. DAFCF has helped, guided, mentored, listened and fought for me and my son. Not only does she reach out to people that are living with CF, but also any one else that needs help with SSI/SSDI appeals, or VA appeals for Vetereans. Without her, my case would have been brushed under the rug, and forgetten about. DAFCF is fighting the fight on my behalf, I have only signed my name a few times, and they have done EVERYTHING else. The organization needs help, 100% of all donations are put back into the non-profit and I would hate to see other struggling Veterans or SSI cases fail because they don't know where to turn, or can't afford to get a lawyer. If DAFCF could get involved with these cases, they would not be forgotten or brushed under the rug, like I once was. Without them, I would be lost and forgotten. Don't let this happen to our future!

Normal to you, is different to me!
